Similar to The Great Bleaching, The Great Geassing is an event where members, although mostly moderators and administrators, change their username to a character from the anime Code Geass every year. The event started as a result of sk89q's sudden interest in the series after finishing it a few days before. The frist Great Geassing began on March 4, 2008 when sk89q changed his name to "ルルーシュ・ランペルージ", to "Lelouch Lamperouge", then to "Rurushu Ranperuji", and finally back to "Lelouch Lamperouge". He eventually managed to convince a few people to join in with him and others just went along.

As with The Great Bleaching, side banners that displayed to the left of the avatar were provided for The Great Geassing. By putting the exact phrase "Area 11" into the "Location" field, a cropped version of the Britannia banner would be shown.
