KAF IM was KAF's first instant messenger service, stared 9, October 2006, and hosted at http://im.keiichianimeforever.com. KAF IM, however, was web-based. using ajax im, and relied on JavaScript to work. The service was installed in an experimental attempt at testing IM services. Presence information was integrated into the forums to promote the use of KAF IM. However, because of the overloaded database server, the instant messenger service experienced problems of lag. A few people used it continually for the first few days. Within a few weeks, the service fell out if disuse and was disabled.
KAF Messenger proceeded KAF IM.
