A/V chat, or audio/video chat, is a alternative chatroom for members with microphone and webcam capabilities. The service is provided by Userplane, and A/V chat began its operation on 18 April, 2006. A/V chat is the source of many memes on KAF.
Most of the time, KAFC is used to chat with other members. However, from time to time, a group may gather in A/V chat to chat, but it is usuallty empty.
A/V chat is not linked to the members database, and users must either enter as guests or register with Userplane separately. Due to the exceptionally limited moderation controls provided by Userplane, A/V chat is largely governed by martial law under the current administrators and moderators in the room. As a result, and partly due the nature of the medium, the content in A/V chat is not strictly moderated.
